Why Purchase a Joyful Acres Animal?

With so many farms and breeders to choose from, it can be hard to decide which one is best for you.  We want to share with you what makes us different and why you will be completely satisfied with the animals and service you receive from us.

Raised with Love

First, and most importantly, every animal is created by God, and we take the responsibility of their care seriously.  We intentionally keep our number of babies low each year, so we can invest the care in them that they need.  Animals need frequent interaction and positive experiences with humans to mould them into excellent pets and companions.  We begin gently handling our baby animals at the moment of birth, or right after, to accustom them to the touch of people.  Security is crucial to the healthy development of baby animals.  Therefore, we keep all of our babies with their mothers until they are a minimum of eight weeks old.

Cared for Holistically

We are always striving towards raising animals in a way that looks at their health and development as a whole.  We recognize that caring for a baby animal's health begins long before they are born.  Instead of using vaccinations and medicated feeds, we use herbs and supplements that boost mother and baby's immune systems.  We also practice good sanitation to avoid weakening their health.

Responsibly Bred

Our goal is to raise healthy, robust animals that live long, happy lives.  We select breeding animals that match our criteria: strong immune systems, solid bone structure, and good chest capacity for internal organs.  We take care not to interbreed, as this can create severe immune and structural defects.  We focus specifically on strengthening common issues of the animals we breed; for example, vibrant immune systems in goats, correct jaw structure in rabbits, and strong, straight backs in German Shepherds.

Supported for Life

You can always contact us if you have any questions or concerns.  We want you to enjoy your animal as much as you possibly can, and we know that this all starts with having adequate information and support!  We absolutely love keeping in touch with our animals' new owners and equipping them to give their animal the best life possible!  Please feel free to use this information to call, text, or email us!
